Color Me Back,: A Same Day Work and Pay Program is a commissioned piece for Mural Arts Philadelphia’s Wall Ball benefit 2021. Color Me Back is a program by Mural Arts Philadelphia that was run out of the Penn Center Train Station. Each day through a lottery a group of homeless Philadelphians were offered a chance to create murals and other art work in exchange for a fifty dollar stipend. While the program began before the pandemic it was able to adapt to its program by working on a beautiful mural on the spaced out pillars in the Walnut-Locust Street Station. The program is back is now back in its original location continuing to provide social, health and financial assistance. As riders begin to populate the stations again they will see the beautiful results of this successful program. Our film documents some of the people that are teaching these creative techniques, the participants as well as the beautiful results of this partnership.
